About

For the past 20 years, I have worked with hundreds of brands and thousands of celebrities to launch, reinvent, position, amplify and dominate. My digital agency, Vult Lab, has masterminded and executed hundreds of projects, campaigns and brands—and generated billions of impressions and millions of blog visits, likes, retweets and YouTube views for a wide array of organizations. Notable projects: From Adobe, CBS, CNET and Disneynature to Jamba Juice, Starbucks and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, we're committed to producing only the best work. My background: I started my career in journalism, at Newsweek, The Associated Press, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and USA Today. I have also launched (and I am currently a partner in) several media orgs. As a publisher, I have spearheaded a weekly print news publication, a pop culture-meets-politics media company with 3 million monthly readers, and a variety of editorial products. A few years ago, I was on a team that won a Cannes Golden Lion Award (a.k.a. "the Oscar of advertising") for a video we used in a social media campaign. I have been a ghostwriter for several A-list celebrities. I also worked to help launch AOL co-founder Steve Case’s Revolution, which is now Everyday Health, and USAToday.com. In 2020, I was picked by the United Nations' World Food Program USA as an Ambassador for Good. Needless to say, it's been an amazing journey!

Many members of Young Entrepreneur Council have experience being the sole leader at the helm of a growing business. Below, 10 of them offered some tips for busy solopreneurs who want to make their days more efficient.

Business advice can come from anywhere, even from those who have never owned a business. But if you’re a new entrepreneur just starting out, you tend to soak up all the information that you can. The most significant problem is there’s no simply way to tell the lousy advice from the good advice. Sometimes experience is the only way to figure out the difference. To share lessons they’ve learned in their business careers, 13 professionals from Young Entrepreneur Council reflect on the following question:

In business, it's only natural that you'll be called on to present to an audience. However, the stakes of some of these presentations can be relatively high, which can lead to anxiety and heightened nerves for the person giving them. Not everyone is naturally cool under pressure, yet so many business professionals manage to give these pitches effortlessly, or so it seems. What all these professionals know is that calming your nerves isn't always as difficult as it first seems. To offer some insight, eight members of Young Entrepreneur Council weigh in on the strategies that work for them and how they’re able to deliver calm, collected pitches time and again.
