Zandre Campos was born in Luanda, Angola. However, the work of his parents took him around the world. He spent his early education in Cuba and then moved to the United States where he continued his education including his time in high school. He then attended college in Portugal and got his degree in law from Lusíada University in Lisbon. Mr. Campos started his career as a legal advisor to Sonangol Holdings, Angola’s state-owned oil company. He then became an executive in the office of the president of Sonair, a subsidiary of Sonangol. Followed by CEO positions with the mobile phone company Movicel Telecommunications and Nazaki Oil & Gas. In 2014, Mr. Campos partnered with four of his closest colleagues and with their own funds he started ABO Capital. Today ABO Capital is an international investment firm with projects throughout the globe that invests in companies in the transportation, hospitality, health care, technology, education, real estate, and energy sectors. Mr. Campos’s forward-looking philosophy has helped him become one of the greatest entrepreneurs emerging out of Africa.. He is frequently quotes as an expert on Africa in the media and has appeared in Huffington Post, US News & World Report, CNBC and Inc. He recently spoke at the German-African Energy Forum and New York University. Mr. Campos was named one of the Top 25 African business influencers and a recipient of the Distinguished Business Excellence Award by African Leadership Magazine. His firm, ABO Capital was recently named by International Business Magazine, the Best Investment Company in Angola.
