About
Todd Goldstein is an entrepreneur, investor and advocate for intellectual property rights for patent holders. In 2008, Goldstein co-founded LaunchHouse with the mission to invest, develop and foster promising idea-stage startups in Northeast, OH. Since Launchhouse opened its doors at its 27,000 sq. ft Coworking space in Shaker Heights, Goldstein has helped grow a diverse portfolio of 65 companies. To date, the Launchhouse portfolio companies have raised more than $28 million in follow on funding. LaunchHouse is considered one of the most active early stage investors in Northeast, Ohio. In 2010, Goldstein recognized that businesses didn't have a path to maximize the value of their intellectual property when they were under-capitalized or failed. That led Goldstein to partner with Eric Hurwitz to start Mensch Capital, a patent investment firm that specializes in working with inventors, small businesses, startups, and patent holders to maximize the value of their intellectual property. In addition to LaunchHouse and Mensch Capital, Goldstein has co-founded a number of startups since 2008 including Knowta, Quo, and Tanz Group. Goldstein remains an active investor through his private holdings company and sits on an array of boards, including the University Hospitals Sports Medicine Advisory Group. In 2011, Goldstein was featured in Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty Under 40,” a list of established business professionals. Goldstein was also recognized as a “Rising Star” in Business by Smart Business Magazine in 2012. More recently, Goldstein was featured in Crain’s Cleveland Business' 2014 “Who’s Who: 150 names to know in Cleveland,” a list of business leaders and innovators.
