About
Shara Senderoff is the Co-Founder and CEO of Intern Sushi (internsushi.com), a platform designed to reinvent and reconstruct the internship application and hiring process. Intern Sushi gives students and employers alike a stage to present themselves and tell their stories. Throughout her years at Emerson College, Shara interned and studied under producers Scott Rudin (THE SOCIAL NETWORK), Dan Jinks & Bruce Cohen (AMERICAN BEAUTY) and Kevin Bright (FRIENDS), among others. With a love for storytelling and a dream of entering the movie business, Shara moved out to Los Angeles after graduation to begin a career in film. She joined The Mark Gordon Company as mega-producer Mark Gordon’s assistant. In 2009, she was promoted to Creative Executive in Film & New Media where she developed feature films and new media properties. In 2010, she was promoted again to Director of Development where she is currently co-producing her first feature film, DESPERADOS starring Isla Fisher with Universal Pictures. Shara had been developing her Intern Sushi venture on the side and decided in 2010 to combine forces with Mark. From there she began building her team and her business. Shara is also the founder of Script It, one of Los Angeles’ largest screenwriting organizations designed for work shopping and developing screenplays. Script It just launched a Toronto chapter and will soon open a chapter in Manhattan. Shara holds a B.A. in TV Development & Production and a B.S. in Marketing Communication from Emerson College. She has completed programs in Animation and Creative Writing. Shara is a die-hard sports fan – when it comes to baseball and football, her heart belongs to the city of Philadelphia.
