Robby Hill

Robby Hill is a technology entrepreneur and public servant.  He started an information technology consulting firm, HillSouth, a the age of 17.  Today, HillSouth employs over 22 associates across South Carolina and delivers advanced information technology management services and hosting capabilities to clients in a range of industries from healthcare to utilities.  Robby currently serves as Chairman of the Pee Dee Workforce Investment Board, as board member of the Florence Downtown Development Corporation, and the US Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneurship Advisory Council.  In 2012, he was elected as Councilman for the City of Florence, South Carolina.  In his first term on Council he has chaired the efforts to launch the City’s Downtown Business Incubator and worked on major neighborhood redevelopment efforts.  HillSouth has garnered numerous awards for its business approach and innovation such as: 3 consecutive years ranked on the Inc. Magazine 500|5000 list, CRN FastGrowth 100, CRN NextGen 250; Empact 100 (presented at The White House in Washington, DC); State of South Carolina Workforce Partner of the Year.  He has served in leadership positions with The American Red Cross, ScienceSouth, Young Professionals of Florence, Florence Rotary Club, and the Florence Chamber of Commerce.  Robby works tirelessly to support the intersection of government and business as well as advocating for entrepreneurship interests across the globe.
