Raised in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Entrepreneur. Community Builder. Thrill Seeker. Built and scaled Startup Weekend to over 130 countries which helped create tens of thousands of companies and  jobs. Acquired Startup Digest, which showcases thousands of startup events in more than 400 cities across the world. Launched Startup Next, the world’s largest pre-accelerator program. Marc was the CEO of UP Global, the parent company for Startup America, Startup Weekend, Startup Digest, Startup Next, and Startup Week for 6 years. In 2015, merged with Techstars and became Chief Community Officer. Current full-time efforts are devoted to Managing Director of Telluride Venture Accelerator and the Fund Director for Greater Colorado Venture Fund. I'm interested in figuring out capital and programatic models to better support underserved founders, specifically in my case, those in in rural and remote markets.
