As co-founder and CEO of OJO, John Berkowitz dreams big on behalf of customers and ensures he has the right people in place to make the company’s collective vision a reality. Specifically, he oversees all operations and resources, develops short-term and long-term strategies, executes the company’s business plan to align with our mission and goals, and spearheads all fundraising and acquisition efforts. Since founding OJO Labs in 2015, Berkowitz has introduced the only solution homebuyers, sellers, and owners need to navigate the complex real estate landscape. Most recently, he spearheaded the acquisitions of real estate search site Movoto and personal finance platform Digs. Berkowitz’s track record of building and scaling successful, mission-driven technology companies with award-winning workplaces paved the way for the formation of OJO. He has received numerous industry and leadership accolades including: Austin Business Journal’s Best Small Company CEO, Austin Under 40 Award in real estate, HousingWire Vanguards, RISMedia Newsmakers, Swanepoel’s SP200 and The Most Powerful Technology Executives in The Residential Real Estate Brokerage Industry. In 2016, Yodle was acquired by Web.com in a $342 million all cash transaction. Berkowitz is an active mentor of entrepreneurial talent and deeply committed to the Austin community. For the past 8 years, he has dedicated his entrepreneurial background and resources to CASA of Travis County to fight for the welfare of children in the community. Serving as President, Vice President, Fundraising Chair, and Governance Chair of the board of CASA of Travis County, he has put countless hours towards fulfilling the organization’s mission.
