About

Jeff is currently VP of Business Development at IdeaPaint, an early member of the YEC and is a Venture Partner at Gen-Y Capital. IdeaPaint is a dry-erase paint product that can transform any “paintable” surface into a high performance dry-erase writing surface. He joined the team shortly after graduation from Babson College while IdeaPaint was in product development. Jeff was influential in raising both angel and institutional financing now totaling $14mm. Jeff was directly involved in commercializing IdeaPaint’s first-generation commercial product, determining the company’s channel strategy, acquiring its first customers and driving scale. Jeff currently focuses on managing IdeaPaint’s new business development and focusing on establishing large strategic partnerships to take IdeaPaint to the mass market. Jeff started his first business with his younger brother Greg – the Water Dog Lobster Company, a lobster fishing and wholesaling operation, when he was 12 years old. Waterdog quickly grew to a full size commercial lobster business with over 400 traps. Jeff still maintains an active involvement in his first business, the Water Dog Lobster Company, which harvests lobsters off the Massachusetts coast and sells them at wholesale. Jeff has had numerous other entrepreneurial ventures in athletic apparel, real-estate and events. Jeff holds a B.S. in finance and entrepreneurship from Babson College and traveled the world with Semester At Sea in the fall of 2004.
