About
Jason is an innovator and serial entrepreneur. He founded Cyclica Inc. in 2010, a bioinformatics company pioneering technology platforms and software for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutraceutical markets, where he served as the President and CEO until 2015 and currently serves as a board member. During this time, Jason led two financing rounds and established key strategic partnerships with Procter & Gamble, IBM Research, Yale University, University of Toronto, and the US Department of Defense. Prior to founding Cyclica, Jason led several scientific and business initiatives. At the Hospital for Sick Children, Princess Margaret Hospital, and McMaster University, he managed collaborative projects in the fields of molecular oncology, structural biology, and genomics. Jason also initiated strategic growth initiatives for Be The Game Inc., where he established fundraising partnerships in the healthcare industry. Jason served as Executive Director for the Select Ontario Baseball Association, where he oversaw operations strategy, designed new policy initiatives, and organized the Association’s provincial championship tournaments. More recently at JPMorgan Chase & Co, Jason managed a portfolio of North American corporate client accounts at the bank’s Canadian Treasury and Securities division. He has also held advisory board positions for SCIEX and ImmunoBiochem. He is currently the Founder and CEO of HealthWorks, a company pioneering new technologies to help health-conscious consumers, athletes and at-risk patients transform their health and live longer, healthier lives, and the President of the BitStreet Exchange, a digital currency trading platform. Jason is also an official member of the Young Entrepreneur’s Council, an invite only organization that has been recognized by the White House and NASDAQ and includes some of North America’s top young serial entrepreneurs. Jason obtained his HBSc in Biology from McMaster University.
