On Saturday, May 6, YEC members gathered in an artist’s private loft in emerging Downtown Los Angeles to connect over mimosas and a delicious brunch.
This was the second consecutive YEC L.A. event, after our last L.A. Founders Dinner sold out in less than one hour. The excitement and enthusiasm of our L.A. members allows us to host more exclusive events for them to connect and build relationships in person.
La Marca Prosecco generously sponsored the event and PlaceInvaders was a partner and co-host. PlaceInvaders provides a unique, pop-up dining experience in other people’s quirky and remarkable homes — while they’re away. Attendees mingled in a bright and airy loft, decorated with an eclectic mix of posters, strung lights and a piano, before sitting down for brunch.
La Marca Prosecco provided bottomless mimosas and bellinis for guests to enjoy with the five course meal prepared by Chefs Nick Montgomery and Akira Akuto. The first course included chilled Santa Barbara spot prawns, followed by a second course of fingerling potatoes, then a third course of sugar snap peas and baby turnips. This was followed by a fourth course of strip steak and egg, and lastly a toasted rice pain perdue with sesame brittle, strawberry and milk bread.
Members in attendance included Kate Hancock of OC Facial Care Center, Warren Jolly of adQuadrant, serial entrepreneur and investor Kumar Arora, Marcela de Vivo of Gryffin, Zoya Biglary of LSTN Sound Co., Veronica Saldivar of Volare Entreprises, Inc., Nick Fehr of The Bosco, Ridaa Murad of Breakform Ventures, and Dalip Jaggi of Devise Interactive.
Photography for the event was provided by Pretty Instant, and YEC members can see the full collection of photos from the event, here. You can also learn more about upcoming events in your city at events.yec.co.
