On September 28, Moving Analytics announced its new partnership with Atlanta VA Medical Center. Led by YEC member Harsh Vathsangam, Moving Analytics is a digital health company that helps hospitals implement home-based cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs. Cardiac rehab is a program that helps improve cardiovascular fitness after a heart attack or heart surgery. If a person does cardiac rehab, they double their chance of living another five years and cut their risk of a second heart attack by a third. Over 10,000 veterans in the U.S. are eligible for cardiac rehab, but less than 10% of them receive this beneficial service because they live too far away from VA hospitals. This collaboration aims to solve this problem by testing a home-based rehab program service that can be done by veterans from the comfort of their homes.
