Last week, a small group of YEC members gathered for a private dinner in New York City. Hosted at Brooklyn Grange, the world’s largest and most sustainable rooftop farm, this YEC NYC Founders Dinner was an evening for good food, great company, and amazing stories of successful entrepreneurship.
Acting as co-host for the evening, Ben Flanner — Brooklyn Grange’s co-founder and Director of Agriculture — gave members a private tour of the 65,000 square foot rooftop garden farm, and gave tasting samples to preview the freshness of the produce. He also shared his unique entrepreneurial story.
John Stires, co-founder of Brooklyn Winery who sponsored the event, taught members about the wine chosen for the evening. Brooklyn Winery, which crafts boutique, small batch wines, provided excellent wine carefully paired with dinner options that were hand selected to incorporate ingredients right from the Brooklyn Grange farm. Brooklyn Brewery lovingly provided the beer.
Members in attendance included: Patrick Ambron of BrandYourself, Lauren Perkins of Perks Consulting, Matthew Moisan of Moisan Legal P.C., Trace Cohen of Launch.it, Tal Eidelberg of Intrigma Inc., Alex Friedman of Ruckus, Elisa Miller-Out of Singlebrook, Mona Patel of Motivate Design, Anoop Kansupada of Loeb.nyc, William Wu of Magnolia Jewelry / Lai Hing Group, Peter Minton of Minton Law Group, P.C., Phil Dumontet of DASHED, Bradford Blevins of gothamCulture, and Beck Bamberger of BAM Communications.
